Born in Guatemala in 1962, Edin Morales, painter and architect, has exhibited in many galleries in Latin America and the United States. He has received numerous prestigious prizes and awards.
A great admirer of French and Italian painters, he has visited France regularly since 1999 and currently stages various exhibitions in Europe.
In a quest for balance, using unique chromatic control, the work of Edin Morales translates true humanity onto his canvas.
His oils and pastels use the vocabulary of love, life and light, juxtaposed with death, decay and solitude. Each of his works is emotionally charged, yet at peace with itself.
